Hewitt goes the extra mile for ‘Ghost’
JENNIFER Love Hewitt, star of the modest hit Ghost Whisperer (think a grown-up Cole Sear from The Sixth Sense … and female), goes the extra mile for the show, appearing on CBS’ daytime programming to answer fan mail about the Friday night series.
This is part of the actress’ efforts to return the support given by the fans to the series, on which she is also a producer.
In addition to Hewitt’s efforts to boost the show, which has enjoyed some of the better ratings among debutant 2005-06 season series, Ghost Whisperer also conducts online seances.
Handling these little sessions, according to a Zap2It.com report, is none other than James Van Praagh himself, the medium whose experiences inspired the show.
On Ghost Whisperer, Hewitt plays Melinda Gordon, a woman who has used her gift for communicating with dead people all her life to help them find closure in their lives. Er, afterlives.
